The first portion of Parco Dora in Spina 3 area is opened to the public. It covers a surface of 45 hectares, formerly occupied by steel mills, metallurgic plants and tyre factories, and consists of green areas with pieces of the local industrial past. The design is by Latz+Partner, winner of the international competition based on the masterplan developed in 2004 by Jean-Pierre Buffi and Andreas Kipar. The experience of Parco Dora will be replicated in 2015 on a smaller scale with the creation of the park Aurelio Peccei in the area of the ex-Fiat Iveco Telai in Spina 4.
