The redevelopment project of Piazza Bengasi aims to restore the square to a central urban role. The intervention provides for the construction of a two-level underground park-and-ride facility, directly connected to the metro station, with a total capacity of approximately 605 car parking spaces and 64 motorcycle spaces. The parking facility, managed by Gruppo Torinese Trasporti (GTT), is designed to reduce inbound vehicular traffic and encourage the use of public transport.

At the same time, the project includes the surface-level redevelopment of the square and the reinstatement of the historic Piazza Bengasi market, which has been temporarily relocated to Via Onorato Vigliani since 2012.
