Thyssen

The area hosts the former Thyssenkrupp Acciai Speciali Terni plant, a production facility that has now been decommissioned. It is located in a highly diverse environmental and functional context, where industrial, tertiary, and residential activities coexist along one of Turin’s busiest thoroughfares.

The transformation goal for this area is to redevelop the abandoned industrial spaces, enhancing environmental, economic, and social quality while maintaining its vocation for productive activities and advanced tertiary services.

As of 2024, plans suggest that most of the area will be designated as an urban public park. However, the resolution has been challenged and is currently awaiting a ruling from the Regional Administrative Court (TAR).
