The City of Aerospace project in Turin, located within the industrial hub of Corso Francia / Corso Marche, originates from a collaboration between public and private stakeholders and provides that 50% of the total investment is allocated to public works of general interest.
As part of a broader territorial regeneration initiative, the City of Aerospace is intended to integrate the needs of technological development, research, and advanced education with a major urban regeneration intervention focused on disused industrial areas, implemented according to principles of smart design, emission reduction, and energy self-sufficiency of buildings.
The first core of the project concerns the Politecnico di Torino area and includes the structural consolidation and adaptive reuse of Pavilion 37, enabling the development of 12,800 square metres of laboratories dedicated to research and technology transfer with industry. This is complemented by the construction of a new 3,500 square metre building for teaching activities and services, for a total investment of €42 million.
