The area where the former Buon Pastore complex is located is in Turin, in the San Donato district, specifically within the block enclosed by Corso Regina Margherita, Corso Principe Eugenio, and Corso Principe Oddone. No longer used by Buon Pastore, some of the buildings have been renovated and repurposed in recent years for office use and other public service activities, while others have remained abandoned since their decommissioning in 1977.
In 2024, the facility was designated as a city-level hub for the reception of people in conditions of social vulnerability, providing socio-educational support and guidance towards pathways of housing and social inclusion. The facility can accommodate up to 150 beneficiaries. The initiative, active until 30 April 2026, is part of the City’s Social Inclusion Plan.
