Built in the 1960s according to the design by Domenico Morelli and Aldo Morbelli, it was home to Rai headquarters in Torino until 2014. It is one of the tallest buildings in Torino, with 19 storeys above ground and 72 m of height.

In 2023, remediation work began, and once completed, the construction site will continue for the renovation of the building to change its function.

The project for the former RAI Palace (Palazzo Micca) envisages the retention of the steel façade, the conversion of part of the spaces originally used as offices into residential units, and the creation of an elevated public square at 26.5 metres, featuring panoramic viewpoints, bars, and restaurants. At ground level, a permeable passageway will be created, incorporating a new portico inspired by the traditional Turin arcades.
