This area is surrounded by corso Regio Parco, corso Novara, via Regaldi and via Ristori, very close to the city centre. It is currently mainly occupied by the former Torino-Vanchiglia railway station, abandoned for a long time, and by estates used for residential, manufacturing and commercial purposes. On 4th May 2015, the City Council approved the detailed plan amending the general town planning scheme and setting out the public use of the area.
