Metro Line 2 will make it easier to travel across the city along its main northeast/southwest axis. The vehicles will be fully automated to reduce waiting times and expand service availability across all time slots.

With its “Y-shaped” configuration, Line 2 will connect 32 stations along a total route of 27 km, divided into three main sections: a central section of 16 km, comprising 23 stations, running from Rebaudengo to Anselmetti; a southern extension, continuing from Anselmetti to Orbassano, connecting 5 stations over a 6 km route; and a northern extension of the same length, which, with 4 stations, allows access to Pescarito / San Mauro.

The infrastructure will help strengthen connections between the city’s main hubs, including the Stellantis plant in Mirafiori, the university campuses of Campus Einaudi and the Polytechnic University of Turin, the city center, and the San Giovanni Bosco hospital.

Line 2 will integrate with the existing public transport network through three interchange points (Zappata station, Rebaudengo station, and Porta Nuova station). Additionally, three park-and-ride facilities for public and private transport are planned to enhance the intermodality of the transportation system at the Orbassano, Anselmetti, and San Mauro stations.
