Michelin has expressed the need to redefine the distribution of its areas in the city, as most of them are currently underused by the company for its manufacturing functions, but are interesting for those economic operators that have advanced their investment proposals. Since 2005 this site has been used as head office of Michelin Italia S.p.A. However, since 2008 the company has moved its manufacturing activities to other sites, starting works in the areas overlooking Corso Romania for the creation of an important logistic-strategic centre. The new factory aims at redeveloping the morphological structure, rationalizing and refurbishing the existing facilities and promoting a functional transformation.
