The goal of this initiative is a radical change of this part of the city, which for years has been the main line connecting the city to Lanzo valley. The ring road will enable a transformation of the current road system, downsizing the roadways and arranging bike-pedestrian paths in a different way. The project envisages, among other things, the creation of a new equipped pedestrian area, the reorganization of traffic flows, the creation of a first row of trees lining via Lanzo, the rationalization and safety improvement of all pedestrian paths.

The planned actions will affect areas already used for vehicle traffic as well as free areas opposite the existing commercial businesses overlooking the street. This is an opportunity to clear and use this large space – anonymous and a barrier between the two cities so far – as a stitching element, linking areas physically separated, in order to improve the environmental quality and meet the growing need for services and aggregation places of the community.
