The building, dating back to 1939, consists of four storeys above the ground level and was originally used as a guesthouse for FS railway employees, an ancillary service of Porta Nuova railway station. The planned action envisages the creation of a tourist-hospitality facility (hostel) with 192 beds, through the implementation of the suitable regulatory measures to comply with the requirements of the new intended use, including the creation of new pedestrian routes accessible by disabled people and an outer fire staircase, on the south-eastern side of the building.
