The building, dating back to 1939, consists of four storeys above the ground level and was originally used as a guesthouse for FS railway employees, an ancillary service of Porta Nuova railway station.
The intervention envisages the conversion into a student residence, providing approximately 99 beds for university students, with each room equipped with a kitchenette, as well as shared spaces for study and social interaction. The project, promoted by a group led by the founders of Satispay, initiated construction works in 2023 (demolition works and roof reconstruction) and foresees opening by June 2026.
