The former “Le Nuove” prison is an emblematic structure in Turin. Built between 1857 and 1869 by architect Giuseppe Polani, it has served various functions over the years: from a prison to the Palace of Justice, later housing the Polytechnic University of Turin, as well as residential apartments and student housing. Part of the complex now hosts the “Le Nuove” Prison Museum. The project includes the restoration, rationalization, and functional reorganization of the site, with energy efficiency improvements and seismic upgrades. Three wings and the former workshop area will be repurposed to accommodate offices for the Prosecutor’s Office and the Supervisory Court of Turin.
