Falchera

The project of the new INA-Casa Falchera neighbourhood is delivered. Developed by Giovanni Astengo with Sandro Molli Boffa, Mario Passanti, Nello Renacco and Aldo Rizzotti, it envisages the creation of 1,446 flats for around 6,000 inhabitants on a surface of over 300,000 sqm, where 70% is to be used as green area. Based on the British and Scandinavian experience in social housing, Falchera experiments the theories of “neighbourhood unity” that in those years are largely debated in Italy.
