Grattacieli

The third of a group of tall buildings is erected in via Pietro Micca, at the corner with piazza Solferino. They are built between 1949 and 1952 derogating from the existing building regulation, in the wake of the city reconstruction after the war. The three buildings trigger a fierce debate in public opinion and experts on the appropriateness of changing the typical skyline of Torino, with an increased building density in the city centre.
