G91

On August 9th the prototype of G.91 single-engine fighter-bomber and reconnaissance aircraft, designed by engineer Giuseppe Gabrielli and produced by Fiat Aviazione, is tested on Caselle airport runway. In 1958 it will win the competition announced by the NATO for the production of a new light aircraft for tactical support. Mainly used by the German Luftwaffe and the Italian Air Force, it has been the aircraft of the Italian Frecce Tricolori acrobatic team for a long time.
