The Eurostile font is created by Aldo Novarese, director of the art studio of Fonderia Caratteri Nebiolo. Born in 1878, the Torino-based company goes through a great period of development and growth in the 1950-1960 decade: Novarese designs several new typefaces for the company which will be producing typefaces and printing machines until 1976, when Fiat becomes a shareholder and decides to close Fonderie Ghisa e Caratteri.
