The construction of the TV broadcasting company office building for Direzione generale della Rai is completed in via Cernaia, based on the design by Aldo Morbelli and Domenico Morelli. With an overall volume consisting of a 6-storey horizontal plate and a 19-storey tower, it is one of the few tall buildings standing out in Torino’s urban landscape in the second post-war period. For this reason, it was highly criticized by the lovers of the city traditional and uniform skyline.
