On July 3rd, after two months of clashes in the factories, a general strike is called by the TU against the rents rise, with protests organized by the most radical groups in corso Traiano, ending up with violent clashes against the police also in other areas of the city. It is one of the most evident signals that 1968 upheavals in Torino have reached their peak and are close to an end. After that, the “hot autumn” season will start, with several workers’ TU struggles taking place in the city.
