Palazzo di Giustizia

After 11 years of construction, Palazzo di Giustizia opens in corso Vittorio Emanuele II. The new courthouse lies in the area formerly occupied by Foro Boario and barracks Pugnani and Sani, demolished in the seventies. The building is designed by architects Ezio Ingaramo and Bruno Zacchiroli with engineers Nicola and Todros and the consultancy of architect Pierluigi Spadolini, and is home to 20 seats of the judiciary that were previously scattered throughout the city (e.g. the historic headquarters of Curia Maxima in via Corte d’appello).
