Arte contemporanea

Opening of Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Borgo San Paolo, the minimal building designed by Claudio Silvestrin and James Hardwick and built in the area of the ex-Fergat. Three years later Fondazione Merz will be opened not far, in the transformed premises of Lancia ex-thermal power station (design by Giovanni Fassiano, Cesare Roluti, Mariano Boggia, Marco Lana, Elena Taretto). Contemporary art, often linked with industrial reconversion, is confirmed as one of the main drivers for the construction of Torino new urban identity.
