In via Rubino, Mirafiori Nord area, Cascina Roccafranca opens, the first Casa del Quartiere in Torino. It is a project that, thanks to the funds allocated by Urban 2 Community Initiative Programme, has given back to the neighbourhood a completely restructured space of 2,500 sqm, where citizens can meet, perform activities, develop projects and socialize. In just a few years, many other Houses like that will be created in Torino. In 2012, a network of Case del Quartiere will be set up, to share their experience and projects in order to grow, improve management and expand services, create new networks between members and citizens, share instruments, develop scale economies and a greater self-sustainability.
