Opening of Nuvola Lavazza, the new headquarters of the Torino-based coffee company in Aurora neighbourhood. The project by Cino Zucchi Architetti, AI, Manens-TiFS, Atelier G’Art, Picco Architetti, disrupts the traditional building block concept of the historical peri-urban fabric and opens it to the surrounding public space. The choice made by Lavazza to settle down in an area close to the city centre where different cultures, new and old inhabitants, economic and social criticalities coexist marks an ongoing trend, anticipated by the progressive opening of art galleries and professional firms in that area. Apart from the employee offices, Nuvola Lavazza includes also the company museum and historic archive, with a special focus on heritage marketing, as well the haute cuisine restaurant Condividere.
