The Regional Mobility Plan has set medium and long-term goals and strategies to extend the network and technological infrastructures of the Metropolitan Railway System.

The infrastructure enhancement measures concern the new SFM5 line, which will run from Torino Stura to San Luigi di Orbassano. This line will therefore connect the already operational stations of Torino Stura, Rebaudengo–Fossata, and Porta Susa with the new stations of San Paolo (n183)Borgata Quaglia–Gru (n186), and San Luigi di Orbassano (n187).

As part of the broader strengthening of the Metropolitan Railway System, the construction of the new Dora (n184) and Zappata (n185) stops is also planned, while the Torino Grosseto station was completed in 2024.

DORA RAILWAY STATION

The project for the completion of the new Dora railway station, situated near piazza Baldissera between Porta Susa and Rebaudengo railway stations, envisages the construction of an underground station on three levels (pedestrian accesses, technical mezzanine and tracks). The project is financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan funds (measure 1.5).
